Abstract:
The present invention provides a catalyst composition and a method for preparing the same, wherein the catalyst composition contains: a lanthanum-based rare earth element-containing compound; modified methyl aluminoxane; a halogen compound; and an aliphatic hydrocarbon-based solvent, and thus exhibits excellent catalytic activity with even a small amount of a main catalyst, can prepare a conjugated diene-based polymer, which has a high content of cis-1,4-bonds, high linearity, and a narrow molecular weight distribution, through excellent catalytic activity, and can shorten the polymerization reaction time.
