Abstract:
The present invention provides a catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), which does not contain a highly active noble metal. The present invention also provides: an air electrode which uses this ORR catalyst; and an air secondary battery. The present invention relates to: a catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction, which contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of double perovskite transition metal oxides and oxygen-deficient perovskite transition metal oxides; an air electrode for metal-air secondary batteries, which contains this catalyst; and a metal-air secondary battery which comprises this air electrode, a negative electrode that contains a negative electrode active material, and an electrolyte that is interposed between the air electrode and the negative electrode.
