Abstract:
Disclosed are a catalyst for preparing an alkylene carbonate, a method for preparing the same, and a method and an apparatus for preparing an alkylene carbonate by reacting an alkylene oxide and carbon dioxide by using the catalyst, wherein the catalyst for preparing alkylene carbonate is a heterogeneous catalyst comprising: a carbonyl group (-C=O-) or an ester group (-COO-); and an amine group (-NH2), a hydroxyl group (-OH), and a halide. The catalyst can react at a low temperature and a low pressure compared with the reaction conditions under a conventional catalyst, can reduce reaction time, and enables alkylene carbonate to be obtained in a high yield. In addition, the catalyst can have improved durability, is easily separated from a product so as to be reusable, and can maintain catalytic yield even if repeatedly reused.
