Abstract:
Disclosed is a catalyst for F-T synthesis which exhibits high activity, long life and high water resistance without deteriorating strength and wear resistance. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a catalyst, a method for regenerating such a catalyst, and a method for producing a hydrocarbon by using such a catalyst. Specifically disclosed is a catalyst for producing a hydrocarbon from a synthetic gas, wherein cobalt metal or cobalt metal and a cobalt oxide as well as a zirconium oxide are supported by a catalyst carrier mainly composed of silica. This catalyst is characterized in that the impurity content of the catalyst is 0.01-0.15% by mass. Also specifically disclosed are a method for producing such a catalyst, a method for regenerating such a catalyst, and a method for producing a hydrocarbon by using such a catalyst.
