Abstract:
This catheter assembly (10) is provided with a regulatory mechanism (54) which, in an initial state of the catheter assembly (10), restricts relative axial movement of a catheter hub (18) and a needle hub (32) in the axial direction. The regulatory mechanism (54) is formed such that the restriction on relative axial movement is released by rotating the needle hub (32) with respect to the catheter hub (18) from the initial state of the catheter assembly (10) in the circumferential direction of an inner needle (30).
