Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a catheter in which a proximal-end section possesses rigidity and a distal-end section is flexible and unlikely to peel off. A catheter 1 includes a first tube-like part 11 and a second tube-like part 21, wherein the first tube-like part 11 is formed: so as to be equipped with a large-diameter section 11A that extends toward a proximal end from a distal end and a small-diameter section 11B that is provided so as to extend toward the proximal end from a proximal end of the large-diameter section 11A and that has a smaller outer diameter than the outer diameter of the large-diameter section 11A; so that the outer circumference of the small-diameter section 11B is covered with the second tube-like part 21; and so that the flexural rigidity of a material forming the first tube-like part 11 becomes lower than the flexural rigidity of a material forming the second tube-like part 21.
