Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cathode active material using a metal oxide and a graphene composite for a lithium secondary battery, which has a higher charging/discharging capacity and a superior cycle property compared to existing graphite, and to a method for manufacturing same. According to the present invention, the cathode active material using the graphene composite that is supported by the metal oxide having a nano-size, can effectively minimize a change in volume, which occurs during a process of charging/discharging, and as a result, a secondary battery having the high charging/discharging capacity and a superior cycle property can be achieved.
