Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to discover a cationic electrodeposition coating composition having excellent coating stability, excellent appearance of a finished product and excellent anti-corrosion properties, and provide a coated article provided with a coating film having excellent properties as mentioned above.
A cationic electrodeposition coating composition comprising a polyester resin (A), an epoxy resin containing an amino group (B) and a blocked polyisocyanate curing agent (C), said composition being characterized in that the polyester resin (A) is contained in an amount of 3 to 40% by mass, the epoxy resin containing an amino group (B) is contained in an amount of 20 to 60% by mass and the blocked polyisocyanate curing agent (C) is contained in an amount of 10 to 40% by mass relative to the total solid content, in part by mass, of the components (A), (B) and (C) and the solubility parameter (δA) of the component (A) and the solubility parameter (δB) of the component (B) have a relationship represented by the formula: |δA-δB| < 1.0.
