Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present disclosure are a cause indication method and apparatus, which can be applied to a communication system. The method, when executed by a first network device, comprises: indicating a cause to a second network device, or acquiring a cause indicated by the second network device, wherein the cause is used for indicating sidelink (SL) path switching related information and/or indicating sidelink (SL) relay related information. By implementing the method in the present disclosure, the cause related to SL path switching is effectively indicated, and the comprehensiveness of the cause indicated between network devices is improved, thereby improving the cause indication effect.
