Title:
CELL CASE OF SECONDARY BATTERY AND MODULE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/080042
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides: a cell case of a secondary battery, said cell case being obtained by joining a can bottom to a can body by double seaming, and said cell case being capable of solving the problem of a decrease in the cooling efficiency due to the presence of a double seamed part in cases where the cell case is cooled on a cooling device or with use of a cooling sheet; and a module that comprises a plurality of cell cases, each of which is the above-described cell case. A cell case of a secondary battery, said cell case comprising: a square tube can body; a can bottom that is joined to the lower end of the can body by double seaming; and a can lid that is joined to the upper end of the can body by double seaming. With respect to this cell case of a secondary battery, the area ratio S1 of a portion 1, which is a part of the can bottom positioned between a surface that is perpendicular to the can body at a distance of 0.5 mm upward from the lower end of the double seamed part of the can body and the can bottom and a surface that is perpendicular to the can body at a distance of 1.0 mm downward from the lower end of the double seamed part, to the inner cross-sectional area of the can body at the lower end of the double seamed part is 50% or more. A module that comprises a plurality of cell cases, each of which is this cell case.
