Abstract:
A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a cell culture apparatus that can in vitro reproduce an in vivo growth or proliferation environment of a hardly-culturable anaerobic bacterium, a kit for cell culture, and a cell culture method. The present invention provides a cell culture apparatus comprising: a plate having a recess for housing a culture medium; cell-housing container having a gas-permeable membrane; a first member for holding the cell-housing container; and a second member having a structure for adjusting the gas concentration of an upper space of the cell-housing container. When a cell sheet has been formed on the upper surface of the gas-permeable sheet, a space above the gas-permeable membrane is in a gas-impermeably sealed state.
