Abstract:
The cell culture device comprises a culture tank which has a shape which increases in horizontal cross-sectional area upwards and which cultures cells in a culture fluid, a pump and culture fluid supply tube as a supply unit for supplying the aforementioned culture fluid to the culture tank, and a control unit which controls supply of the culture fluid by the supply unit, wherein, through control by the control unit, the culture fluid is intermittently supplied from the supply unit to the culture tank and a circulating upward flow is formed in the culture fluid, whereby a plug flow of the culture fluid is formed in a culture region where cells are retained in the culture tank.
