Abstract:
Provided are a cell culture device for producing a cell sheet to be used in drug discovery and regenerative medicine studies, and a kit for producing a cell sheet. More particularly, this culture device, which prevents cell detachment caused by a mechanical stimulus such as exchange of a culture medium, is constructed by forming a cell detachment inhibition area, said area having stronger cell adhesive force than a stimulus response area regardless of the presence or absence of stimuli and inhibiting cell detachment, directly all around the periphery of a cell culture surface and disposing the stimulus response area, said area changing adhesiveness to cells depending on external stimuli, inside the cell detachment inhibition area. Also provided is a recovery support to be used for recovering a cell sheet, said recovery support having prescribed characteristics and enabling easy recovery of a cell sheet.
