A cell detachment device for detaching cells by vibrating cells provided on a culture surface of a cell culture vessel, characterized in that: the cell peeling device has a vibrator and a diaphragm; the vibrator, the diaphragm, an acoustic transmission medium, and a culture vessel are arranged so as to be superposed in this order; and in the direction in which said elements are superposed, the region in which the acoustic transmission medium and the diaphragm are in contact does not overlap the region in which the vibrator and the diaphragm are in contact.
