Abstract:
The present application provides a cell reselection method and apparatus, comprising: a terminal device receives first information from a first network device, the first information comprising first time information and information of a second network device corresponding to the first time information, or the first information comprising information of a first cell; the first cell is different from a cell currently resident on the terminal device; the terminal device determines, according to the first information, a target cell to be reselected by the terminal device. The terminal device determines, according to the information of the network device corresponding to the first time or the information of the first cell sent by the network device, the target cell to be reselected by the terminal device, thereby avoiding frequent cell measurement of the terminal device and reducing resource overheads caused by frequent cell measurement of the terminal device.
