Abstract:
Provided by the embodiments of the present application are a cell switching method, a communication device, and a storage medium. One scenario is that the communication device resides in a SA cell and is in a connected state, and the cell switching method comprises: receiving measurement configuration information of an A2 event; If the signal quality of the SA cell is lower than a first private threshold, sending a first measurement report of the A2 event, the first private threshold being set by the communication device and is higher than an A2 event threshold; receiving measurement configuration information of a different system measurement event, the information comprising an LTE neighbor; performing signal measurement on the LTE neighbor, and sending a second measurement report, wherein the signal quality of an LTE cell in the second measurement report is higher than a first threshold; and switching from the SA cell to a target cell by means of a cell switching flow, wherein the target cell is one cell in the LTE cell. By means of setting the first private threshold, when the signal quality of the SA cell is general or poor, the SA cell can be switched to the LTE cell, thereby reducing UE power consumption.
