Abstract:
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to prevent the occurrence of thread breakage during the spinning of a cellulose acetate fiber to improve the efficiency of the production of a cellulose acetate tow band. A cellulose acetate tow band according to the present invention is a tow band composed of a cellulose acetate fiber, wherein the total denier is set at a value falling within the range of 8000 to 44000 inclusive, the content of titanium oxide is set at a value falling within the range of 0 to 0.01% by weight inclusive, and the content of a fiber oily agent in the tow band as measured by a diathyl ether extraction method is set at a value falling within the range of more than 5 mg and 65 mg or less per 1 m.
