Abstract:
Provided is a cellulose derivative that has excellent storage stability and that can selectively adsorb valuable metals and toxic metals. The cellulose derivative according to the present invention has a repeating unit represented by formula (I). In formula (I), Ras are identical or different from each other, and each represent a hydrogen atom or a group represented by formula (a). In formula (a), ring Z represents a heterocyclic ring including a nitrogen atom as a heteroatom, and R1 represents a single bond or an alkylene group having 1-10 carbon atoms. The four R2s are identical or different from each other, and each represent an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms. It should be noted that, of all Ras included in the cellulose derivative, at least one is a group represented by formula (a).
