Abstract:
Hydrogen is added to CO2 that is contained in an exhaust gas from a cement production facility or CO2 that has been separated and collected from the exhaust gas to produce methane, the methane is supplied as an alternative fuel for a portion or the whole of a fossil fuel that is to be supplied to a pre-calciner in the cement production facility to pre-calcine a cement raw material with the pre-calciner, and the pre-calcined cement raw material is calcined with a cement calcining kiln in the cement production facility to produce a cement clinker. In this manner, CO2 in a cement exhaust gas that is not derived from the fossil fuel can be methanated and can be thereby utilized effectively, and it becomes possible to produce a cement while reducing CO2 and removing a harmful component.
