Abstract:
This cemented carbide has a first phase comprising tungsten carbide particles, and a second phase containing cobalt, wherein the cemented carbide contains chromium and vanadium, the percentage by mass of the chromium with respect to the cobalt is 5-9%, the percentage by mass of the vanadium with respect to the cobalt is 2-5%, the surface ratio of the second phases is 7.5-13.5 area%, the number of second phases is at least 1000, and the area ratio of the second phase and the number of second phases are estimated in a measurement field of view of 101 µm2 by image processing on a scanning electron microscopy image of a cross section of the cemented carbide.
