Abstract:
As to a convex section (62) of a casing (51), a first base line (L1) denotes a straight line that passes through an apex (623) thereof, over which a water flow passes with a radial flow rate which is a velocity component in a direction along a radius of an impeller, and that perpendicularly intersects the rotation axis center (X) of the impeller (53). A reference plane (α) denotes a plane that perpendicularly intersects the rotation axis center of the impeller (53) at a position a predetermined distance (h) away from the first base line (L1) toward the impeller along the direction in which the rotation axis center of the impeller (53) extends. Further, a second base line (L2) denotes a line that passes through the intersection of the reference plane (α) and the inner periphery (624) of the convex section (62) and that is parallel to the rotation axis center (X) of the impeller (53). Here, a distance (Lxa) is larger than a distance (Lxb), wherein the former and latter distances (Lxa and Lxb) are those, among distances (Lx) from the apex (623) to the intersections of the corresponding first base lines (L1) and second base lines (L2), that correspond to a radial flow rate maximum position A and radial flow rate minimum position B, respectively, at which a maximum and minimum in the radial flow rate (V) of a water flow occur, respectively, when the water flow flows around the rotation axis center of the impeller (53).
