Abstract:
The present invention relates to a centrifuge. In one aspect of a centrifuge according to an embodiment of the present invention, a centrifuge for separating materials by using centrifugal force comprises: a container, which is molded into a cylinder shape including a bottom surface and an edge surface such that an accommodation space for accommodating a material to be centrifugally separated is formed therein, and rotates in a state in which the material is accommodated in the accommodation space; a cover for selectively opening and closing the accommodation space; a divider, which is disposed inside the accommodation space, has an edge surface spaced from the edge surface of the container so as to allow the accommodation space to be divided into an inner space and an outer space in the diametrical direction of the container, and has a lower end spaced from the bottom surface of the container such that the lower parts of the inner space and the outer space are in communication with each other; a pipe unit which penetrates the cover such that at least a portion thereof is positioned inside the inner space, and which allows the material supplied to or extracted from the accommodation space to flow therein; a rotary cutting unit provided at the container so as to be positioned in the outer space; and a fixed cutting unit provided at the divider so as to be positioned in the outer space, wherein, when the container rotates, the material supplied to the inner space through the pipe unit is divided by the interaction, caused by the rotation of the container, of the fixed cutting unit and the rotary cutting unit, which are positioned to face each other, while flowing into the outer space.
