Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a ceramic-based composite material comprising a matrix and reinforcing fiber provided in the matrix, wherein: a powder of a matrix material forming a part of the matrix is impregnated into a fiber body constituted from the reinforcing fiber, the fiber body impregnated with the powder is positioned in a liquid raw material for the matrix, the fiber body is heated in this state to put the liquid raw material in a membrane boiling state, and a ceramic derived from the liquid raw material is generated in the fiber body as a part of the matrix.
