Abstract:
This ceramic electronic component is provided with: an electronic component main body having a base material ceramic layer on the surface; and a surface electrode that is provided on the surface of the electronic component main body. The ceramic electronic component is characterized in that: the surface electrode includes a first sintered layer that is provided on the upper surface of the base material ceramic layer, and a second sintered layer that is provided on the upper surface of the first sintered layer, and a plating layer that is provided on the upper surface of the second sintered layer; and in a peripheral portion of the first sintered layer, there is an exposed surface where the second sintered layer and the plating layer are not provided on the upper surface.
