Title:
CESIUM AND/OR STRONTIUM ADSORBENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/141931
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an adsorbent that has the ability to adsorb cesium and strontium, and in particular can efficiently adsorb strontium from a medium such as water containing a low concentration of strontium. Also provided is an adsorbent manufacturing method that is suitable for the manufacture of said adsorbent. This cesium and/or strontium adsorbent is a strontium adsorbent that includes a group 5 element M-containing crystalline silicotitanate, in which a crystalline silicotitanate expressed by the general formula A2Ti2O3(SiO4)∙nH2O (where A indicates one or two types of alkali element selected from Na and K, and n indicates a number from 0 to 2) contains a group 5 element M, wherein, when X-ray diffraction measurement is performed with a diffraction angle (2θ) range of 5° to 80° and using Cu-Kα as an X-ray source, the width at half height of a main peak within 2θ=11° to 12° is 0.320° or less, and no peak is observed in the range 2θ=29° to 30°.
