Abstract:
Provided is a chain device that suppresses sliding heat generation in a chain and a sprocket and is capable of reducing friction loss due to the heat generation. This chain device (100) comprises a resin-containing sprocket (7) and chains (4, 5) that are formed by coupling a plurality of resin-containing chain elements (1), wherein the chain elements (1) each have a flexible base section (11) and coupling sections (12, 13) that are positioned at both ends of the base section (11). The resin of the sprocket (7) and the resin of the chain elements (1) are different types, and the glass transition temperature of the resin of the sprocket (7) is 45°C or higher.
