Abstract:
The present invention effectively causes a seated user to perform a shape-up exercise having the objectives of the strengthening of bodily abilities, the maintaining of a lean body type, and the like. The chair (1) for shaping up is provided with: a seat (2) on which the user (U) sits; a support (7) that has a downwardly bulging curved surface disposed below the seat (2) and that supports the seat (2) by means of at least the apex of the curved surface contacting the floor; an airbag that presses the user (U) seated at the seat (2); and a fall-preventing section (13) that suppresses the seat (2) from tilting at or above a predetermined tilt angle to the rear.
