Abstract:
A chair type massage machine provided with a structure for massaging the shoulders of a user, sitting on a seat, by left and right air bags, wherein the air bags do not hinder the user from sitting on the seat and the air bags effectively massage the user according to the body type of the user. The chair type massage machine is provided with a pair of air bags (17) for applying pressing massage to the user and mounted on opposite left and right sides of a backrest (3) so as to be opposed to each other. The pair of air bags (17) is mounted to the backrest (3) through a position switching mechanism (20) capable of switching the pair between a use state in which the pair projects forward from the backrest (3) and a retracted state in which the pair is retracted rearward from the position of the use state.
