Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to impart an ample massage effect, without forcing the user into an unreasonable posture, in a chair-type massage machine having a low backrest. This chair-type massage machine (1) includes: a seat (2); a base frame (8) supporting the seat (2) on the floor; a backrest (3) disposed at the rear of the seat (2) and provided so as to be able to support the user's back; and a massager (6) which is built into the backrest (3) and carries out a massage operation on the user, who is seated in the seat (2); wherein provided is a lifting/lowering means (15) for adjusting the height of the backrest (3), freely switching in the vertical direction between an accommodation position where the lower side of the backrest (3) is accommodated lower than the seat (2) and a protruding position where the lower side of the backrest (3) has moved upward.
