Abstract:
A chair (1) which, when in a stowed state in which a footrest is not used, requires a significantly reduced installation space.
A chair provided with a footrest (2) installed on a floor surface (F) and containing legs of the user, and also with a body receiving section (3) connected to the footrest (2) and supporting at least the buttocks of the user. The body receiving section (3) has a positioning surface (14) on which the body of the user is positioned. The positioning surface (14) is pivotably connected to the footrest (2) such that the positioning surface (14) can be changed from a stowed state in which the positioning surface (14) is located on the upper part of the footrest (2) to an extended state in which the positioning surface (14) is exposed upward.
