Abstract:
This chair encourages an infant to fall asleep and alleviates the physical burden on the person putting the infant to sleep without causing discomfort to the infant because the infant is being held by the person. A chair (1) is used for vertically rocking an infant (8) to put the infant to sleep, with a person (10) holding the infant (8) sitting thereon. The chair includes: a seat part (2) which is a portion that comes into contact with the buttocks of the person (10) holding the infant (8); a base part (4) which is a portion that comes into contact with the floor on which the chair (1) is placed; and a middle part (6) which is a portion that connects the seat part (2) and the base part (4). The chair is characterized in that, in accordance with the movement of the center of gravity of the person (10) sitting on the chair (1) and holding the infant (8), the seat part (2) can rock in the vertical direction.
