Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a chair capable of exhibiting a body supporting function and of improving the feeling when seated, by tracking changes in body posture, from a back surface to a seating surface, and, to this end, provides a chair having a seating surface portion and a back surface portion formed integrally by means of a fabric, characterized in that: (a) the fabric is stretched over a frame;
(b) when the chair is viewed from in front, either (b-1) in the seating surface portion, the fabric is fixed to the frame in either the left-right direction or the depth direction, and in the back surface portion is fixed to the frame at least in the vertical direction of the chair, or (b-2) in the seating surface portion, the fabric is fixed to the frame in at least the depth direction, and in the back surface portion is fixed to the frame in the left-right direction; and
(c) a free portion not fixed to the frame exists between the seating surface portion and the back surface portion, with a fabric length in a range of 150 mm to 750 mm.
