Abstract:
This chair (1) comprises: a supporting structure (41); a backrest (20) that is supported by the supporting structure so as to be rotatable about an axis extending along the width direction of the supporting structure and that can be displaced to a tilted state of being tilted rearward from an initial state; a biasing portion (60) that biases the backrest in the tilted state toward a direction for returning to the initial state; an adjustment portion (70) that adjusts the biasing force of the biasing portion; and an operation portion (80) that is connected to the adjustment portion and that actuates the adjustment portion. The biasing portion is provided to the backrest or the supporting structure. The adjustment portion is provided to the backrest. The operation portion is disposed rearward of the axis, and at one side of the backrest in the width direction.
