Abstract:
A channel rank reduction method and apparatus for a large-scale antenna system. The method comprises: performing correction detection on a channel of an antenna, and determining whether a fault exists on the channel according to the detection result; and performing channel rank reduction processing according to the determining result indicating whether the fault occurs on the channel. The apparatus comprises: a detection determining module, configured to perform correction detection on a channel of an antenna, and determine whether a fault exists on the channel according to the detection result; and a rank reduction processing module, configured to perform channel rank reduction processing according to the determining result indicating whether the fault occurs on the channel. By using the channel rank reduction method and apparatus in the present application, when part of antennas are damaged, a fault channel can be accurately located, and rank reduction processing can be performed on the fault channel, so that negative effects due to damage of the antennas are remedied, thereby improving the reliability and stability of a large-scale antenna system.
