Provided in the embodiments of the present invention are a channel separation method and system. The method comprises: an intelligent reflecting surface or a repeater, which is located between a base station and a terminal, switching a reflected pilot signal to a new codebook at a specified symbol position on the basis of a pre-configured codebook reflection coefficient.
