Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for acquiring channel state information (CSI) for use in determining beams to be used when transmitting with holographic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a reference signal (RS) comprising an RS sequence transmitted using different antenna ports of a base station (BS) and different cyclic shifts (CSs); and transmitting, to the BS, a channel estimate based on the RS.
