Abstract:
A charge pump circuit provided with a plurality of booster stages (8, 9, 68, 69, 70, 90, 91, 92, 118, 119, 302) outputs a first boost voltage from an output node of the booster stages except the final stage and also outputs a second boost voltage from an output terminal. The charge pump circuit is provided with: a boost ability switching unit (11, 46, 71, 94, 95, 121) for switching at least one of the boost abilities of the stages subsequent to the first booster stage outputting the first boost voltage; an abnormality detection unit (4, 84, 111) for detecting abnormality of the first and second boost voltages; and an operation stopping unit (10, 22, 32, 93, 120) for stopping the boost operations of the booster stages. When abnormality of the first boost voltage is detected, the operation stopping unit stops the boost operation of the first booster stage and also the boost ability switching unit enhances the boost ability. When abnormality of the second boost voltage is detected, the operation stopping unit stops the boost operations of the booster stages subsequent to the first booster stage.
