Abstract:
A compound represented by the following general formula (1): (1) (wherein R�1? to R�4? each is hydrogen or a substituent selected from the group consisting of cyano, nitro, halogeno, hydroxy, alkyl, aryl, heterocycle, ester, alkoxy, aralkyl, allyl, amide, amino, acyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, carboxyl, carbonyl, and a carboxylic acid group; substituent X is one member selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur, and =C(CN)�2?; and substituent W is a 4- to 8-membered ring) is incorporated as an electron-transfer agent into a photosensitive layer.
