Abstract:
This invention addresses the problem of providing a charge-transporting thin film that, in the presence of external disturbances, exhibits little in the way of fluctuations. This invention implements a charge-transporting thin film that has a resistance that changes little over time as current is supplied, and as one of the secondary effects thereof, provides a charge-transporting thin film that exhibits excellent stability, resulting in little in the way of changes in emission characteristics over time. This charge-transporting thin film contains one or more functional organic compounds having chirality-creating sites and is characterized in that the per-molecule counts of said chirality-creating sites, summed over all of said functional organic compounds, total at least 4.
