Abstract:
The invention relates to a charging generator (1) for supplying functional components with at least one positive or negative high DC voltage, having a switched-mode power supply (3) which has a high voltage transformer (12) which transforms an AC voltage into an input-compatible high AC voltage of at least one high voltage generator (5) which supplies a high DC voltage as the output voltage, wherein the charging generator (1) can be operated with a DC supply voltage of 24 V, wherein the high-voltage transformer (12) is in the form of a supply means of at least two high-voltage generators (5) and the DC supply voltage is applied to said high-voltage transformer, at least one converter (17) of the switched-mode power supply converting said DC supply voltage into the AC voltage, and wherein the charging generator (1) has at least one switching and/or control means which, when it is operated, can change the polarity of the output voltage. In order to have available a charging generator (1) which simplifies the interaction with charging and discharging processes of functional components in application processes using simple means, the invention proposes assigning to the different polarities in each case at least one high-voltage cascade (5a, 5b) as a high-voltage generator (5) for generating the corresponding high voltage, and separately actuating the high-voltage cascades (5a, 5b) using at least one electrical or electronic switching and control means, or assigning to each high-voltage cascade (5a, 5b) a dedicated switching and/or control means of this kind for actuation purposes.
