Abstract:
In an EWOD-type chemical analyzer, a size reduction and a cost reduction in an analytical device are realized. In a chemical analyzer (100), a drive electrode array (211) as a transfer path for transferring liquid droplets is disposed on one of opposed surfaces in two flat plates(201, 202) disposed substantially parallel to each other while providing a space therebetween. A common electrode surface (214) is provided on the other surface. A sample dispensing part (3) for dispensing a sample (11) and a plurality of reagent dispensing parts (48, 49), which can dispense a reagent, are provided on the upper flat plate. Concaves and convexes are provided on the lower flat plate. The distance between the substrates is small for the dispensing part and is large for a mixing/transfer part. A liquid reservoir for discharge can also store a sample and a reagent immiscible with an oil.
