Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a novel chemical conversion treatment agent capable of forming a chemical conversion coating having excellent corrosion resistance, upon the surface of a metal material; a method for producing a chemical conversion coating on the surface of a metal material, using said chemical conversion treatment agent; a metal material having a coating; and a painted metal material. [Solution] A chemical conversion treatment agent for metal materials, that forms a coating on the surface of a metal material and is characterized by containing: ions having at least one metal selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium, and hafnium; fluoride ions; at least one type selected from the group consisting of alkane sulfonic acid, alkanol sulfonic acid, and ions thereof; and ions containing trivalent iron.
