Abstract:
This chemical heat storage device (10) is provided with a reactor (11) and an adsorption device (13) which is connected to the reactor (11) via a pipe (12). The reactor (11) has a multilayer structure (18) wherein a plurality of plate-like heat generation units (16) and a plurality of heat exchange units (17) are alternately laminated. Each heat generation unit (16) comprises: a heat storage material (19) which generates heat upon a chemical reaction with NH3 and desorbs NH3 upon reception of exhaust heat; and a metal case which contains the heat storage material (19). Each heat exchange unit (17) serves as a passage for the exhaust gas and is configured of a metal fin. The metal cases of the heat generation units (16) and the heat exchange units (17) are bonded with each other by soldering, welding or the like. The adsorption device (13) contains an adsorbent (23) that is capable of holding and desorbing NH3 by means of physical adsorption.
