Abstract:
Provided is a chemical heat storage material which stores heat by utilizing a dehydration reaction of a hydroxide of calcium and/or magnesium, and which exhibits higher reaction rate and enables heat storage at lower temperatures. This chemical heat storage material contains both a hydroxide and/or an oxide of calcium and/or magnesium, and a hydroxide of lithium and a chloride of lithium, which serve as lithium compounds. It is preferable that the total amount of the lithium compounds is 0.1-50% by mole relative to the hydroxide and/or the oxide of calcium and/or magnesium.
