Abstract:
A chopper needle for cataract surgery according to the present invention comprises a main needle connected to a handle, wherein the main needle includes an end portion having a non-circular shape. The chopper needle for cataract surgery according to the present invention may further include a second reinforcing needle which is provided between the handle and the main needle and connected to the handle and at least a portion of the upstream side of the main needle. Also, the end portion of the main needle may be elliptical, in which case the long axis of the elliptical end portion may be arranged in the longitudinal direction of the main needle.
