A circuit breaker of a multi-breakpoint contact system, the circuit breaker comprising at least one insulating housing, an operating mechanism and an overcurrent release. A first static contact, a first contact set, a second contact set and a second static contact are arranged in the insulating housing, wherein the first static contact and the first contact set form a first breakpoint, the first contact set and the second contact set form a second breakpoint, and the second contact set and the second static contact form a third breakpoint. The first contact set and the second contact set are provided with two ends, wherein one end rotates relative to a rotation center, and the other end is fixed relative to the rotation center, or both ends rotate relative to the rotation center. Parts forming each set of breakpoints are provided with repulsive force structural sections having opposite currents, the structural sections generate an electromagnetic repulsive force due to the opposite currents, and a when short-circuit current passes through same, the electromagnetic repulsive force is increased and instantly drives the first contact set and the second contact set to achieve a quick disconnection action before the operating mechanism acts.
