Abstract:
A circuit breaker in which a circuit breaker chassis (101c) is internally provided with: an opening/closing mechanism unit (51); a holding member (11) which is connected to the opening/closing mechanism unit and which is caused to rotate by the action of the opening/closing mechanism unit; a movable contact (10) held by the holding member; and a fixed contact (8) opened and closed by the movable contact, which rotates with the rotation of the holding member. The shape of a bearing surface of a support part for rotatably supporting the holding member as viewed in the direction of the center of rotation of the holding member and the shape of a borne surface of the holding member borne by the bearing surface of the support part as viewed in the direction of the aforementioned center of rotation are formed to different shapes. A first axial core (11b) of the holding member in the open state and a second axial core (11c) of the holding member in the state in which the movable contact is closed are located in different positions, increasing the input power of the movable contact.
