Abstract:
[PROBLEM] To obtain a circuit breaker with no additional component, suited for automatic assembly, reduced in size and providing stable operation.
[SOLUTION] This circuit breaker is provided with: a pushing plate for operating a mobile contactor to bring the mobile contactor into contact with a fixed contactor; a link operating so as to push down the pushing plate against the energizing force of an opening spring by being coupled to the pushing plate through an ON/OFF operation of a manual handle, and so as to push up the pushing plate through the energizing force of the opening spring caused by the release of a trip bar; an OFF-trip spring, which is a torsion spring having a long arm and a short arm, held by a spring-locking axis corresponding to the rotation axis of the manual handle; and an engagement protrusion provided immediately below the spring-locking axis, locking the OFF-trip spring in a state where the long arm and the short arm are crossed over one another. The circuit breaker is characterized in that the long arm has such a length as to engage a linking pin inserted from the manual handle, and the short arm has such a length as not to engage the linking pin.
