Abstract:
Proposed are a circuit substrate, an antenna element, a millimeter wave absorber for incorporation in a substrate, and a method for reducing noise in a circuit substrate which make it possible to reduce noise in a circuit substrate more than in the past. In a circuit substrate 2, a laminate substrate 2b comprising a plurality of dielectric layers 2e laminated together is provided on a base material 2a, and shield vias V1 to V12 having a maximum peak of the amount of electromagnetic wave absorption in a 30 to 300 GHz band are provided in the laminate substrate 2b. Thus, it is possible to not only reduce unwanted electromagnetic waves generated in the circuit substrate 2 by causing the electromagnetic waves to be simply reflected by the shield vias V1 to V12, but also to absorb the unwanted electromagnetic waves by means of the shield vias V1 to V12. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce noise in the circuit substrate 2 more than in the past.
