Title:
CIRCULAR SAW
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/016094
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The body vibration of a circular saw cutting a work is effectively suppressed to improve the quality of the cut face of the cut work and to reduce the noise during the cutting effectively. The circular saw (10) is fabricated by forming an even number, four or more, of slits (18) of a desired length in a body (16) by cutting at every substantially equal center angle from a tooth base (20) to the rotation center (C) is characterized in that the radial lengths (Ls) of arbitrary two slits (18, 18) confronting each other on both sides of the rotation center (C) are substantially equal to each other, whereas the radial lengths (Ls) of all the other or part of the slits is different, and the maximum of the sum of the radial lengths (Ls) of two slits confronting each other on both sides of the rotation center are within a range of 5 % to 25 % of the diameter (D) of the circular saw, whereas the minimum of the sum of the radial lengths (Ls) of the two slits confronting each other on both sides of the rotation center is set within a range of 0.4 to 0.8 times as large as the maximum.
